In the Pantry
With all the excitement of having MIL with us last week I missed In the Pantry. I thought this nice relaxing saturday would be a good day to do it!
1. Vegenaise
I bought this specifically this week to use in tuna salad. Last week we tried this for the first time in coleslaw James made and we really liked it. Vegenaise is egg and gluten free. Ingredients: expeller-pressed grapeseed oil, filtered water, brown rice syrup, apple cider vinegar, non-GMO soy protein, sea salt, mustard flour, and lemon juice concentrate. Grapeseed oil is one of the few natural foods known to raise HDL, the "good cholesterol" as well as many other health promoting benefits.
2. Organic Strawberries
It's Summer!! What's not to love about the health benefits of strawberries. First off they are so yummy. Most importantly they are full of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients! They are known to help prevent cataracts, ward off cancer, prevent constipation, and reduce the risk of infection!
3. Organic Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
This was bought this week to make Chocolate Coconut Clusters! SO GOOD, EASY, and HEALTHY! Ingredients: Coconut Flakes, Coconut Oil, Almond Butter, Vanilla, and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (or dark). Will share recipe later!
4. Organic Sweet Italian Chicken and Turkey Sausage
Sausage I feel good about eating for breakfast!! Woo hoo!! This sausage has no antibiotics used, humanely raised, no fillers, gluten and casein free, no nitrates or nitrites added except those naturally occurring in sea salt. Ready to heat, fully cooked. Nutrition Profile: 1 link = 130 calories, Saturated Fat 2 gm, Cholesterol 70mg, Sodium 500mg, Total Carb 1 gm, Protein 15gm. I'm about to go cook me up one!
