Homemade Lara Bars

Yesterday James made us some homemade "lara bars" or as the Wellness Mama calls them "Wellness Energy Bars". We made enough for the both of us to take all this week to work. Love quick and totally healthy lunch/snacks for work.

So you can find this recipe in the link above, but i'll spell it out for you here too. Thanks Wellness Mama! There are tons of lara bar recipes online, so have fun being creative and making different versions.
1/3 cup nuts (cashews or almonds, etc)
1/4 cup dates (remove pit)- about 3 dates
1/4 cup raisons (or 3 more dates)... that's what we did
dash of cinnamon
Put nuts into food processor and chop until in small pieces. Put in bowl.
Put dates and raisons (or just dates) in food processor and pulse until play dough consistency. It will start to clump together when it is done.
Mix the two ingredients until well incorporated and the consistency is stiff play dough or cookie dough. (can do by hand or in the food processor)
Roll between two sheets of wax paper to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into bars.
Wrap in wax paper, plastic wrap, or sandwich bags and store in fridge until ready to use.
