Spontaneous Trip to Hoboken, NJ + Cake Boss + New York City Views
On our trip last week we made a very spontaneous decision to drive up to Hoboken, NJ (right across the water from New York City) and get some yummy Carlos Bakery goodness! If you are a fan of Cake Boss on TLC like we are, you would have loved every single minute, and there were many minutes of waiting... in a long line =) So worth it though! We also got to see Maro(spelling?) in person! It was also the first time I have ever laid eyes on New York City, a place I've been wanting to visit for so long now! I pretty much flipped out the whole time. We hope to make another trip up to visit family in PA soon and all of us head up to New York for a day or two! All in all, i loved this fabulous day!
Bobby's Burger Palace
After the we watched the Giants play the Phillies we headed to Bobby's Burger Palace, which my husband was especially excited about. We bought him the recipe book to this restaurant a few years ago, and he has cooked these burgers for us ever since. To taste them in person was super cool. I got the Topless Dallas Burger (spice crusted, monterey jack, coleslaw, BBQ sauce) on top of a balsamic green salad. So yummy, and carb friendly. The vibe of this restaurant is modern retro. Love it!
